Safety and Security


The Public Safety Office is responsible for campus safety and security. Students are advised about security matters and procedures at orientation sessions. In accordance with the Crime Awareness and Campus Security Act of 1990, the College collects information regarding campus security and alcohol and drug abuse. This information is available to all current students and employees. Campus crime statistics may be accessed at the U.S. Department of Education web site, or obtained from the Director of Public Safety upon request at (631) 656-2196.

Five Towns College Annual Security Report and Annual Fire Safety Report

October 1, 2011

Five Towns College is committed to report to the Five Towns College community about their personal safety and security. The combined annual security and fire safety compliance document now available.  As required by federal law, the report contains policy statements and crime statistics for the college.   Included are college policies, procedures and programs concerning mitigation, prevention, response and analysis of emergency situations and sexual offenses, related disciplinary procedures and other matters.

 

Statistics are included for certain types of crimes that were reported to have occurred on campus, in or off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by the college and on the public property within or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus.
